The Center for Sustainable Landscapes will be one of the world's first certified living buildings. The project consists of construction of a two-story, 24,000 square foot classroom and office building used for education, research and administration offices with unique sustainability certification requirements. Extensive site improvements are also to be performed.
This building will emerge as a “living building” exceeding LEED Platinum Certification by generating its own energy with renewable resources and capturing all water used on site. It is pursuing three green initiatives - living building challenge; LEED platinum; sustainable sites.
