Cesar E. Chavez Learning Academies is a 250,000 square foot school campus constructed for the Los Angeles Unified School District. The project includes a three-story classroom building and a two-story building used for administration, maintenance and food services. Also included in the scope of work was a one-story, 33,200 square foot gymnasium building and a one-story concession building.

As part of the District’s green initiative, the outdoor fields were built with synthetic turf to reduce water consumption on site. This feature increased daylighting and energy efficient HVAC systems, helping the school achieve 32 points for the Collaborative for High Performing Schools sustainability program.
