project at a glance

Lathrop has constructed a 20,000 square foot Fire Station on a 7.5 acre greenfield site in the city of Perrysburg as a Construction Management Agent.

The Fire Station contains administrative offices, living and sleeping quarters for personnel, multi-purpose spaces (for training/emergency operation center) and multiple apparatus bays. The station is designed with areas from ‘hot’ to ‘cold’ to allow for decontamination of carcinogens. This allows the firefighters to remove harmful substances such as arsenic, hydrocarbons, benzene, and other carcinogens that collect on their turnout gear and equipment without exposing these substances to other occupied areas. The station also includes fast opening four-fold doors that will open approximately seven seconds faster than the traditional sectional door.
