Sauquoit Valley Central School District

Comprehensive District-Wide School Renovation

The project, which touched every school building in the district, entailed a fitness center expansion, auditorium renovation, renovations to the band and choral rooms, roofing replacements, tennis court renovation, paving and sidewalk reconstruction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical renovations and fire alarm and security upgrades. The project was heavily focused on the high school auditorium renovations, which only has had lighting and sound upgrades since being built in 1932. Auditorium renovations included knocking down walls outside the auditorium for enlargement to add 100 seats. Additionally, the balcony's line of sight was improved, the stage was widened, and surrounding band and choral rooms were expanded. The fitness center expansion included removing walls and extending the center to double it's size to accommodate cardiovascular equipment and free weights.
