Erie Community College's Amherst North Campus building was designed to house programs for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) studies. The 62,500 square foot building features specialized class lab spaces for science related programs such as anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, engineering science and physics. Shared spaces include a café, lounge, study room and tutoring center.

The two-story building is steel framed with an exterior balanced between a limestone veneer, store fronts, curtain wall and aluminum panels. The design focused on providing center gathering areas with elevated clerestory windows to provide natural light throughout the corridors. Mechanical and electrical design efficiencies are utilized as a result of the energy modeling analysis. The project is designed to obtain a LEED Silver Certification.
