Federal Building Historical Renovation

project at a glance

The renovation of a Federal Building with the construction of a 650-space underground parking garage and a Centennial Plaza that extends the Legislature grounds. Based on a 1939 design and constructed in the late 1950s, the 10-story, 335,000 square foot Tyndal stone building is one of the best surviving examples of art deco design in Canada. The renovated Federal Building not only preserves the Tyndal landmark but also replaces two surface-level parking lots with green space.
