project at a glance

An enduring symbol of the struggle for independence the Texas revolutionaries endured, The Alamo has always been the beating heart of San Antonio.

The restoration of the Alamo's landmarked Long Barracks included replacing the roof system, replacing wood beams and tongue-in-groove elements with updated but visually identical pieces, installing a stainless steel duct run to replace the original, and performing select exterior modifications such as re-pointing masonry walls, replacing the scuppers and installing a new mortar cap.
