The renovation of Morehouse School of Medicine's Medical Education Building II, originally built in 1987, replaced, consolidated, and co-located core biomedical research support activities.  The project includes extensive demolition and reconstruction of the building's second floor and subsequent build out of 17,000 square feet of laboratory, lab support, office, amenity and building support spaces, plus approximately 6,800 square feet of mechanical penthouse space and replacement of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and lab support systems and equipment.

Work also included installation of roof screen walls and steel support structures for added mechanical equipment on the roof and replacement of outdated engineering infrastructure systems, such as primary air handling equipment.
