The downtown ball park is home to the Toledo Mud Hens, the Detroit Tigers AAA affiliate. The stadium with a seating capacity of 10,000 features 28 corporate suites, prime Club Seating areas for 2,000 fans, and the unique cantilevered “Roost” overhanging right field. Renovation of historic downtown buildings surrounding the site and also the construction of Mud Hens offices, rental hall, and adjoining retail space are part of the aggressive sixteen month schedule.
The stadium construction has served as a catalyst for continued development in Toledo’s Warehouse District and adjacent neighborhoods.
Fifth Third Field was voted “Best Stadium” by Newsweek Magazine.
