The Aretha Franklin Park Amphitheater is a 56,000 square foot tensile structure amphitheater located on the Detroit River waterfront. The scope of work included installation of fixed seating and bench seats for 3,500 with provisions for future expansion to 5,000 seats, stage alterations, a steel stage truss, overhead fabric, support systems, mechanical and electrical systems, raceway for sound and security, and landscape improvements. 
 
Built in 1993, this landmark structure was previously known as Chene Park Amphitheater, but was renamed in honor of Aretha Franklin.
