Western Digital Cleanroom

Western Digital's cleanroom was built over an occupied space and special care was taken to maintain a working facility during construction, with no shutdowns to production.  Mechanical, electrical and process piping were added to support growth of the facility. Structural supports were put in place to strengthen the roof  in order to accomodate construction loads. Work included excavation and construction of a lift station and the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of two labs.
