Over the last 10 years, Turner has worked on more than 1,000 healthcare projects including 82 academic medical centers, 47 cancer centers, 32 children’s hospitals, 88 ambulatory care facilities, 21 women’s centers and more than 600 acute care facilities. Healthcare represents 25% of Turner’s overall business and with a 2010 healthcare construction volume of nearly $2.8 billion we complete nearly 50% more healthcare work than our closest competitor.
National Focus
Because of our commitment to the construction of healthcare and medical research facilities, we established a Healthcare group to support our business units. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the experienced members of the Healthcare group work with Turner offices around the country - primarily in the pre-construction and planning phases - to offer clients information about industry trends in design and technology, guidance when it comes to cost, scheduling and constructability and a wealth of lessons learned.
