Turner Provides Construction Management Services For Lincoln Center Redevelopment In New York, N.Y.
New York, N.Y., May 12, 2006 – Turner Construction Company’s New York office has been awarded a contract by the Lincoln Center Development Project, Inc. to provide construction services for the redevelopment of Lincoln Center in New York, N.Y.
Turner will provide construction management services for the first major renovation of Alice Tully Hall since its opening in 1969. The scope of work includes a 5,000-sq.-ft., three-story glass lobby expansion, interior revitalization, new rehearsal space and expansion of the dressing rooms and stage wings. In addition, Turner will manage the cantilevered expansion and renovation of the Juilliard School, as well as a new two-story building that will serve as a retail store. Additional work will include a new entrance to the Peter J. Sharp Theater and improvements to the Samuel B. and David Rose entrance and numerous public spaces. Project completion is scheduled for 2009.
