Turner Construction Company’s Northern New York office's are headquartered in the Albany Capital District. Two additional offices are located in Buffalo and Syracuse. Turner employs more than 120 employees in northern New York.

 

Turner's three New York North offices are among the company's 46 offices located across the country. With more than 5,200 employees and an annual volume in excess of $9 billion, Turner is synonymous with quality construction. More than 60 percent of Turner's work comes from repeat clients..

Buffalo - Western New  York

In 1908, Turner opened its first branch office in Buffalo to service Western New York. An auspicious debut, the company constructed the Carborundum Company that same year, followed by:

  • Pierce-Arrow Building; 1910
  • Rochester Railway & Light Company (now Rochester Gas & Electric Company); 1917
  • The Genesee Building (now Hyatt Regency); 1923
  • Farrel-Birmingham Company, Inc.; 1942
  • Buffalo Life Sciences Complex; 2006
  • University of Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; currently

Albany - Capital District/Hudson Valley Region

Still standing is the first Turner project constructed in 1916 in the Capital District area: A. Mendelson’s Sons Headquarters. Since then, Turner has continuously built premiere projects in Upstate New York, including:

  • J.B. Lyon Company Printing Plant; 1929
  • Saratoga Race Track Grandstand; 1964
  • General Electric Research and Development; 1986
  • Albany International Airport; 1995
  • RPI- Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center; 2008
  • GE Healthcare Digital X-Ray Production Facility; 2009

Syracuse- Central New York

The Syracuse office officially opened in 1999, but Turner has been active in Central New York since the early 1900s. Experience includes:

  • Cornell University Schoellkopf Field Stadium; 1923
  • The MONY Towers (now AXA); 1970’s
  • Solvay Union Free School District; 2003
  • LaFayette Central School District; currently
