Turner opened its Pittsburgh office in 1976 to better serve its clients in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Turner’s roots in Western Pennsylvania date back to 1908 with a contract for work on Forbes Field, which was the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club and the Pittsburgh Steelers for many years.
Turner has significantly contributed to the Pittsburgh skyline and is responsible for some of the most highly visible projects including the U.S. Steel Building, One Mellon Bank, One Oxford Center and the Hilton Hotel.
Over the years, Turner's portfolio of projects and client list continues to grow. The company has completed projects for Carnegie Mellon University, Penn State University and its branch campuses, West Virginia University, Carnegie Museums, Magee-Womens Hospital, Conemaugh Health Systems, UPMC Health Systems, ALCOA, MEDRAD, FedEx Ground, and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, to name a few.
