The story of Turner Construction Company has always been a story about people. From his beginnings in 1902, founder Henry C. Turner realized the importance of staffing his organization with talented and well-educated engineers who shared his commitment to integrity, teamwork and commitment to client service, three enduring principles that have guided the company to this very day.
Over the last century, Turner’s work philosophy has blossomed into a $9.6 billion organization that operates through a national network of 46 offices and employs more than 5,700 employees. This extensive network allows Turner to offer its clients the accessibility and support of a local firm with the strength, stability and resources of a national corporation, providing our clients with both the extensive resources they demand and the close-to-home focus they desire.
In 1995, Turner established a full-service office in Indianapolis. In 1997, the office was incorporated as Turner Construction Company of Indiana, LLC. Since that time, the office has developed a staff comprised of area construction-industry veterans, local college recruits and seasoned Turner professionals from across the nation. Today, there are 70 Turner professional staff living and working in Indiana. Validated by an audit conducted by Barnes and Thornburg, LLP, Turner Construction Company of Indiana, LLC holds the distinction of an “Indiana Company” under Governor Daniel’s “Buy Indiana” presumption.
Turner has provided construction services for some of the state’s most prominent organizations. Our clients include the State of Indiana, City of Indianapolis, Indianapolis International Airport, Eli Lilly and Company, the Indianapolis Zoo, University of Notre Dame, Ball State University, Purdue University, Parkview Health Systems, Howard Regional Health System, Clarian Health and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, to name but a few. Our work in Indiana, over $250 million in construction managed in 2007, helps Turner receive recognition as the leading general builder in the U.S.
