When the Atlanta office opened in 1976 we had fewer than five employees. During the nearly four decades since, we have grown to 150 full-time employees.  We have cultivated excellent relationships with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and minority- and woman-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs) in the region, and we offer in-house scheduling and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) estimating expertise.  We are able to achieve great value for our clients with the combination of our national purchasing power and our ability to engage smaller, local firms in the communities in which we build. 

Notable projects underway include Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Ft. Benning Hospital and the Douglas County Adult Detention Center.  We take pride in seeing the results of our labor in the Atlanta skyline and surrounding communities with marquee projects such as the 1180 Peachtree building in Midtown; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Build 23 Laboratory and Building 24 Headquarters in Decatur; and Turner Broadcasting System’s Network Operations Center just off I-75 adjacent to the Georgia Institute of Technology campus. 

To better serve our clients in the Southeast region, we combined resources, best practices and the expertise of our personnel in our eight regional offices, which includes Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Huntsville, Miami, Nashville, Raleigh and Orlando.  Our joined forces enable us to provide the best possible service in market segments such as healthcare, higher education, k-12, industrial, criminal justice and interiors, at the best possible value throughout the Southeast region.

  • Field Engineer (C) - Atlanta

    Reports to the job site Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, or Assistant Superintendent.  Also maintains contact on the working level with subcontractor’s Foremen.  Assists in carrying out a variety of basic field duties at the job site related to the general construction of non-residential buildings, stadiums, and parking structures by personally performing the following duties.  In the performance of these functions, the Field Engineer is responsible for the protection and promotion of the interests of Turner Construction Company in all matters.

  • Carpenter

    Perform tasks involving constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's handtools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes. May also include concrete forms, building frameworks and wood stairways, installing cabinets, drywall and batt or roll insulation, doors and hardware, toilet partitions and accessories, trim, as well as other types of general trades tasks. May perform other duties as necessary or required.  **Candidates must be local to Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. **Successful passing of a criminal background check and drug screen required for employment

  • Co-op Intern

    Reports to Project Engineer or Project Superintendent. Engineering role will involve assisting in   obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified. Superintendent role requires maintaining daily contact with subcontractor’s representatives, forepersons and other Turner Staff responsible for the protection and promotion of Turner Construction Company interests.
