The home of the August Wilson Center for African American Culture is located on the corner of Liberty Avenue and 10th Street, in the Cultural District of Downtown Pittsburgh.  This new facility is dedicated to presenting, interpreting and preserving the art, culture, and history of African Americans in Pittsburgh as well as people of African descent throughout the world. 

The building is a two-story, 63,200 square foot mixed-use facility which houses a museum, flexible exhibit space and a 486-seat performing arts theater with an orchestra pit and fly loft.  It has educational spaces and a gift shop/café/kitchen as well.
