The Newark Museum project included 146,100 square feet of renovations and improvements such as skylighted courts, galleries, a mini zoo, lending collection, artwork shops, education department, library, auditorium and offices. To restore the original look of the main museum building, the granite floors were cleaned, a suspended ceiling was removed and the original chandeliers were reinstalled. The museum remained operational throughout the project.
