University of Qatar

project at a glance

The University of Qatar project is a complex of seven major academic buildings, and a series of substantial service and plant facilities interconnected by a network of underground tunnels and servicebanks.

The total usable floor space built exceeded 92,900 square meters. The structural systems of the two- and three-story buildings were cast-inplace, while white precast concrete was used for the facades.

In addition to design and construction supervision, the scope of work for Turner encompassed a multitude of bid packages to provide academic furniture, equipment and specialized finishes for the University’s varied academic departments. The project scope also included extensive road and parking lot construction, as well as hard and soft landscaping.
